New Programs

Scotiabank CAP

The Scotiabank Career Accelerator Program (CAP) is an elite program that will build students’ career confidence and help them distinguish themselves as a workforce-savvy, emerging leader. Participants will take part in training modules, workshops and hands-on experiences that will complement their degrees by preparing them with workplace-readiness skills. Throughout the process, they will be fully supported by Huron’s Career Development Coordinators. Core program components include mapping career objectives, experiencing a paid internship, taking part in a meaningful volunteer opportunity, engaging in a formal mentorship and more.

Scotiabank Scholar’s Program

Aimed at high school students from marginalized backgrounds, low-income and newcomers, this program helps to break down barriers by creating educational pathways for students. Specialized training provides students with the opportunity to learn new skills and gain eligibility for one of 5 full scholarships to Huron annually. Participants can gain exposure and confidence in attending a higher education setting. Programming will cover topics like university preparation and career development.

Huron’s MOS Program Accepted as a Member of the Business School Association of Canada

Huron’s Management of Organizational Studies program has been accepted as a member of the Business School Association of Canada (BSAC). Becoming a member of the BSAC is the gold seal of approval for the program, as the BSAC is the association of university faculties and schools of business and management in Canada. Having a BSAC membership denotes the program is credible and adheres to the highest standards of excellence in education.
